Frequently asked questions
When are limited company accounts due?
Annual accounts are normally due at Companies House nine months after the end of the accounting period. The Company Tax Return is due to HMRC twelve months after the end of the period.
What is a confirmation statement?
It is an annual filing that confirms your company details are up to date. It is separate from your accounts.
What happens if I file late?
Late filing brings automatic penalties from Companies House and from HMRC for the tax return, and repeated lateness increases them.
Can you take over from my existing accountant?
Yes. We handle the handover and make sure nothing falls between the two firms.
