Frequently asked questions
What rate of Corporation Tax will my company pay?
It depends on your profits. There is a small profits rate, a main rate and marginal relief between them. Associated companies can affect the limits. We confirm your rate for each period.
When is Corporation Tax due?
Normally nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period. Larger companies pay in instalments.
Can I reduce my Corporation Tax bill?
Legitimate reliefs, allowances and planning, such as employer pension contributions and capital allowances, can reduce it. We explain what is available for your company.
Do dormant companies have to file?
Dormant companies still have filing duties with Companies House and may need to deal with HMRC. We can advise on your position.
